Evaluation question 3

Our media product has aspects of the synthpop genre interweaved amongst the other aspects we have included in the product itself, this has helped us create a unique media piece that challenges and utilises the normal conventions of its genre.

The synthpop genre usually includes music videos that have a fast pace, quickly changing between shots to keep up with the pace of the song. They also use shots that are irrelevant to the song’s lyrics and these shots are nearly always concept based, emphasizing the unique image the genre has.

Our music video utilises some of the features of the synthpop genre as it contains many fast playing shots as a normal music video would, this helps to keep our audience interested in our video. We also kept the main focus of the music video being revolved around the artist himself which is commonly seen within the genre. We challenged the normal conventions of the genre as we used little concept based shots within our music video, focusing on narrative based shots instead. This created a unique combination of fast shots to tell the story. This keeps the audience interested in the video as a whole.

This is what our digipak looks like once fully complete, each photo was edited individually and then they were assembled in an order we saw appealing in a new photo file.

we aimed to make it apparent who Jayden Blake. As he is a new artist who is not known by the masses which means and needs to be introduced the way that we decided to do this is by shots of the artist Jayden Blake so they'll be able to know who Jayden Blake is. Although we decided to integrate some pictures showing information on he's new album as well as he's tours. We put some links to he's social media websites as well so that he's fans can get in touch with he's social media pages quickly.

Tour

The tour page is presented is a way that tells the supporters information on the gig and the venue so that they could see where the venue is and what goes on in and around the venue. It also has a direct link to the website where you can buy the tickets. We put this in the website because we felt that this would give it that real feel also to make it seem that he is relevant and tours regularly.

Bio

This is the Bio page where we put some information about our artist this is because we thought the audience would want to know something about the new artist that they listen to, also if there are new or non-supporters of Jayden Blake then they'll know a little bit about who Jayden Blake is and he's history.

Music

This is the music page where there is a preview for the new song ''Cake'' and some behind the scenes shots of the music video. Also we done a playlist of he's top songs. We put in the preview video because we wanted them to see the kind of video it is so they might go and watch it. We put the behind the scenes shots in so that they can see who Jayden Blake is and how the video was made. The ''Top tracks'' was put in so that if they like the song cake than there are other songs that he's done.

Shop

We put in the shop merchandise that he's fans can buy the merchandise when they go to he's gigs and concerts. We put this in to make it seem like a real artist.
